Description

This class focuses on the pursuit of the perfect print, exploring how different mordant recipes can produce very different results in ecoprinting.

Students will experiment with a range of mordants, natural dyes and tannins, learning how each can affect colour, clarity and definition. These combinations also open up the possibility of using plants that do not usually print well with more standard methods.

The aim is to give students a deeper understanding of how to control and develop their results, while still allowing space for the beautiful unpredictability that makes ecoprinting so rewarding.
